AA Bondy was born Auguste Arthur Bondy in New Roads, Louisiana in 1972. He played the trumpet as a boy. As a teenager he switched to guitar, rode skateboards and found Sonic Youth. From 1997-2003 he went missing as part of a rock’n roll band/soul-death experiment In 2006 he found a piece of himself in the trees outside of Woodstock, New York and began a slow dance toward better dreams. Since then has released three albums for Fat Possum including 2011’s quietly praised ‘Believers’ He currently lives near the ocean north of Los Angeles.
